1. The Right Training

It all starts with the right training. Keep in mind that not every program is the right one. You need to have an experienced guide who will teach you the best techniques while showing you how to do them safely. Research your instructor and be sure to check out their references and portfolio. Make sure you’re able to ask questions and that you have support available to you after you finish your course.

2. Tools & Supplies

The tools and supplies you use are incredibly important. Not all are created equal. It’s worth investing in the highest quality possible. You can feel confident knowing that you’re using the best products possible for your clients.

3. Building Your Clientele

It’s not going to happen overnight. Building your client base takes time - and lots of patience. Find ways to get creative when it comes to marketing your business. And don’t forget how important your clients are. They are the foundation when it comes to helping you grow and share your business.

4. Be Social

Find out where your clients are hanging out online and connect with them! You want to offer value, so answer questions and share advice. When it comes to social media, the most important thing is to be consistent. Posting regularly will help you stay top of mind when a client is looking for your services, or when someone needs a referral!

5. Setting Boundaries

It’s important to be available to your clients. You want to be there to answer any questions, to help them with an appointment, or to follow up after a service. But be sure to set some boundaries. Let your clients know what days or hours you’re available and the best way to reach you. You can provide top-notch service while still maintaining a work-life balance.

6. Always Be Learning

Learning never stops. Make sure to keep up to date on new techniques, tools, and trends. Learn about ingredients, pigments, skin type, and skin tone. Know your products and be able to share that knowledge with your clients.

7. Practice

Practice doesn’t stop when you get your first client. The more you practice, the more confident you will become. Always focus on your art and how you can improve. Getting good at anything takes time, so be patient. Practicing regularly ensures you are always giving your client your best.

8. Remember Your Why

Think about why you started your business. What motivates you to get up in the morning and take care of your clients? Focus on why it makes you happy. When you’re feeling discouraged, remembering your why will help push you through.

9. Connect

Don’t be afraid to connect with other microbladers and people in the beauty industry. You don’t have to work alone. Relationships are key in both life and business. Learning from each other and sharing ideas is a powerful way to grow your business and be successful.

10. Take Care of Yourself

Don’t get burned out! Do whatever self-care means to you. Take a walk, read a good book, spend time friends, or binge watch your favorite show. By taking care of yourself, you can take better care of your clients. It will allow you to focus and do your best work!
